Become an Interior Designer?

ASID? Get certified and get registered? So I was thinking, perhaps I should start thinking about being an Interior Designer. Since I am doing alot of FF&E procurement operations and inevitably dealing with alot of interior matters, I am sure it would be great to submerge into the interior designing world! It would also help me a great deal in my job. Ironically, when I was 'young and naive', my first choice of studies was interior design. But Mom and Dad never thought it was practical to earn a degree like that and - you know back home, we don't see much of Interior Designers making a whole lot of money! Infact my first full-time job, I was an Interior Coordinator come to think of it! So... let's see how the story goes for this chapter ok? Starting at 30years old?? Nevermind the age! Just do it! So, what I really need to enrich my skills and knowledge in this current job is probably to 1. Get certified and registered as a Interior Designer 2. Speak, read and write Chinese! - these 2 items should keep me busy for the next 5 years! What d'ya think!?

Refreshing Week!

Such a refreshing week! Feeling rather happy, but no reason in particular. I guess I am very focused on what I am doing and moving on as planned. Doing OK at work, doing OK at home, manage to allocate cash for home expenses, not spending unnecessarily, else, I also manage to get enough sleep - that's important! 2 job request this month and that's great!

Drop-dead Tired:

Extremely tired last few days, and still coughing my way - hard cough!!! Drop dead early in bed after putting Analina to sleep so I could conserve enough energy for the next day! Been feeling very down, I guess also because of the chores and weak situation but things are looking better now. Just looking forward to getting back on track!

Red-Panda Eyes

Sob sob.... adding the 3rd antibiotic to my allergy list. Now, doc says there's not many more classes for me to try in future! So much swollen all around my eye and perhaps the other medicine - Robotussin (maximum strengh) for cough with alcohol content make things worst, rashes all over :(((

Janice & Marque

Got to know Janice at the Hilton playground. She looked very familiar and we realized yes we met once at Analina's daycare where she sends her daughter there as well. They just moved to Guam end of last year from California. Janice is now working at Harmon and coincidentally both are companies are working on the same hotel project! It took us some time to put the puzzles together though! She's cool and easy-going and Marque (pronouced as Margo) is absolutely a very pretty girl! I remember her at the daycare as one because she wears very pretty dress :)

Full-time Job

So much for doing all the "one-leg-kick" and also even without my 'General Manager' title, today I am officially hired by the firm and as usual - undertaking more than 1 role. Sounds all too familiar, I guess my bosses enjoys seeing me do ALOT of things AT ONCE!? Income from this job would be used to take care of 1. Mom & Dad's expenses & home 2. Cash expenses for family - hubby & little Analina; equally shared. Whatever I can salvage we will use to start saving up to pay off Mom & Dad's home loan!

Brand New Start - $0 Dollar Savings

As of March 1, 2005, this date will mark a fresh start for me with $0 dollar savings! Fresh and encouraging I am all motivated! Besides home loan and car loan debts, I squeezed every dollar I have and now do not owe any money - which consist of my Mom and Analina as the last 2 persons on my list! I borrowed Analina's savings of about (USD$1000) to help Mom and Dad with their home expenses last year when suddenly my Dad told me he is not working anymore. Then there was about RM$8,000 to decently furnish my mini-apartment that Keith had generously help me put up in advance. Another one was, last year I had received this surprise from the home loan people that my parents single story had an inevitable title transfer fee (not even tranferring any title-man) of RM$5000! There was also a couple of months home loan for their house that I have included in my pay-off list, so right now I am back on $0 dollar savings! I guess, in the next few years, will just continue to pay Mom and Dad's home loan and their monthly expenses (from my future paycheck of course), and at least Analina's got her savings back - all her angpow money! Phew! I am sure there will be more 'surprises' for me to pay this and that, will see how it goes! I'll just stay positive ;)
