Created To Be His Help Meet - Gift Of Wisdom

Chapter 5 - The Gift Of Wisdom - do you have enough fear of God not to question his Word?

1. It doesn't take a good man, or even a saved man, for a women to have a heavanly marriage, but it takes a women wiling to honor God by being the kind of wife God intended - It takes one women, willing to be a help meet - a suitable helper. You serve Christ by serving your husband, whether your husband deserves it or not - Hit it right on the spot -- whether he deserves it or not ... now I realize, women often put a condition on her man's love and somewhat look down upon him, therefore trying to put up alternatives and refuse to submit ... you see alot of working women out there .. of course, many have many reasons to work and at the end of the day fall short in fulfilling her main role as a good help-meet at home .. but one can also reason out the insecurity in women thinking perhaps if they work, they could save some extra money for rainy days, they could use a little extra for some of the things they like (that their husband may not like or approve of 100%) .. all these somewhat stem from not truly submitting and not truly believing in their other half .. if you really think about it .... and I am guilty as charged, which is why I am happy to learn that its time to change my mindset .. trust in LG 100% of his capabilities and submit (listen, obey and honor) his will (wishes) eventhough often I may not agree to it (have better ideas), and not trying to find (and execute!) private alternatives to my own worries.

2. You will need to take God at his word and become a help meet for his sake, knowing you are fulfilling your mission here on earth - you are being God's helper on earth - what a wonderful truth to know!! I really honestly never think of life this way .. not so much from God's perspective but I am so ever grateful to learn about my purpose here on earth, and same time discover the joy of a happy marriage!

3. You need the precious gift of wisdom to be able to hold your tongue and be thankful when your flest would strike back in anger - how true .. esp with women, not thinking that much before opening our mouths and next thing you know, saying things we don't mean during those bitter mouth battles!

Married Vs. Couple Life

A friend popped up on my MSN and asked me about the difference between married life and couple's life. I put some thoughts and gathered them -- it's interesting to think about it and how much I've learned so far. Here's my response:

"The difference is as a married person you declare your faith and loyalty publicly to the world 365 days 24 x 7 days.. not ashamed to be recognized as you give 100% commitment and obedience to the other half. It also means you will be subject to a higher standard and level of expectations (loyalty, commitment) the way you live your life .. and you are expected to live up to that standard. So the wedding ring/ceremony is a visible reminder of an inward commitment made in your heart - but the real commitment lies in the married days to come" He asked more specifically about the difference in lifestyle... and its interesting to think about it, so I said: "My lifestyle now - TRULY 100% loyal and committed with unconditional love, no other options .. before... I BELIEVE that I am 100% loyal and committed with unconditional love, with several options to consider" When it comes to habits .. yeah definitely big change! But I wont say it's all alot gota do with marriage ... they were associated with my decision to change and God's grace .. and when he heard that I mentioned God, he asked to stop the conversation there.

In today's world, people don't like to talk about God .. yet God had given so much to us. We are using so many of God's things everyday .. yet from the big picture, I reckon very few (compared to the entire population) pay attention to what God had done, let alone praise Him and be appreciative, and have a personal relationship for him --- just like how our parents would yearn a personal relationship with us ... after all they have done for us .. but anyway, as we moved on the conversation ... he asked specifically about different in work lifestyle, and my response was: "yeah, before I will just work and mix work and rest etc, then at the begining of marriage, work is work, after work is family .. try to keep my work a simple and less demanding one .. (but it s tough, you will always tend to excel), but now, work is not so important till I sell my soul to it kind anymore, family is first in everything ... and he expected the kid to be the major factor in those changes, but I told him, its not my girl who caused that change, but because I've sinced learned that God expects that of me .. to be a good help-meet to my husband and to watch over the well-being of my girl, not to let money/(work) get in the way... in order words, temptations of the worldly world!

Best Of Life!

Came home from teaching class this morning - had a good time with my little students, they were all great! When I got home, I took out the mee-hoon leftover yesterday and stir fry it with added vege, mushroom and chicken fr ANA's lunch I've prepared this morning - threw in an egg too! It's yummy lunch, I love home cook and thinking how thankful I am to have such flexible hours and work arrangement, although right now, it's not like the business is blooming since I've decided not to sell my soul to it!, but I get time for myself and the family, friends, as well as for God ... which is the best of life! Also taught in the morning yest and it was a holiday for most places. I took the afternoon off and spent time with LG somewhat, it's good decision and I feel so rich in joy and blessing being able to make myself availble for my family. Joy to the world and its overwhelming how much beauty there is in this world!

Beautiful Earth

What a wonderful day! Back on my beach walk/jog routine but changing it to 6.30am instead because its pretty dark at 6am - might not be such a good idea! But I have little ANA with me this morning, she's always looking for me and when I got up early this morning, she wanted to go too! So I figured, hey why not, would love to have her so I can spend time with her too. I gota take baby steps though, after all I dont want to exhaust her, she's only 3! But it was good, I walked backwards and she was my eyes, felt pretty good for the feet! Today I was actually planning the time as my appointment time with God but that's OK - we can do it together! We can get to write Jesus's name on the sandy beach too! You know, before, I never liked and never really bother to look at nature but am loving it! The beach, the trees, the mountain, the sky, everything in it -- looked so amazing, just so beautiful. Can't wait to get out there and breathe the air - thank you Lord for all that you've provided.

Resolution For 2007

From now onwards - I'd like to try and approach my resolutions fr. God's point of view ....

1. It's Not About Me, It's All About God - The Purpose Of My Life
I want to get to know God personally, trust Him, love and serve God, Lord Jesus Christ, - I am not going to serve money or things of the world! I aim to give up all the worldly things if any had been so important to me before. To give my heart to the Lord, but the heart is where the treasure is, so where my treasures are, that's what I will also give to the Lord ..... this means, I will also do these 3 things I've promised for this year: 1) Daily time with God for 365 days *No Bible No Breakfast* 2) Weekly tithe 3) Actively participate in Church's small group - connecting with the Church

* Special Note: Get baptized too! - According to Rick Warren, there should not be any delay or postponing in baptizing. It SHOWS that you are part of God's family, although it does not MAKE YOU a member of God's family - only faith in Christ does that. It publicly announces to the world, "I am not ashamed to be part of God's family".. and yes I am not ashamed..

2. It Doesn't Really Matter What I Want, It Is What I Can Do To Help My Husband - Make This As If My 1st Full-Time Job Here on Earth!
I've learned a great deal about one of God's perfect will and that is to be LG's help meet, a thankful and merry wife. Will cont to make real efforts in showing how thankful I am as a wife, and to help and support LG all the way, 365 days from all aspects of our marriage .. to trust and love him wholeheartedly. Special Highlight include: Set-aside HELP-MEET SPECIAL for LG - one Friday night every fornight, he gets time for himself so he can go out with his friends etc. I also want to make sure I dont neglect household chores and make sure they are all taken care off first before office work , so I plan to do the following on weekdays weekly (no choice but to take time from office hours and lunch - 12noon) - same time free up Sat and Sun for family: Laundry (Mon) Wash car (Tues), clean bathrooms (Wed), groceries (Thurs), clean floor/windows (Fri) - really need my schedule up and running ...

3. Put My Own Interest and Ambitions Aside And Focus On Being A Good-Loving Christian Mom - Make This As If My 2nd Full Time Job Here on Earth!
I want to be my little ANA's helper and guardian angel, to provide her with a loving family and teach her about God's word, this includes reading the Bible to her every night, share with her about Jesus and God and the Bible, and show her by example how to be that good person Jesus wants us to be.. specifically I also need to always talk to her with nice, loving words, and never scold/raise my voice against her and never say, 'Dont bother Mommy' - 365 days a year! Some other specifics include: cannot exceed max. 8 hours at daycare (5-days a week) Jan-July, by Aug, cannot exceed 6.5 hours at school-spend time with Analina after-school teach and help her with homework-crafts-bible, ensure she gets enough sleep (10 hrs-sleep at 9pm, wake up at 7am), and evening walk with my litte one ..

4. Follow Jesus Footsteps In Order To Serve God and Do God's Will (Item 1,2 & 3)
This is also something I plan to accomplish in year 2007 - a special 2006 Christmas Jesus Project which began on 12/25.2006. To learn and apply Jesus's footsteps and teaching. I've cut out 3 big hearts representing each of our little family here but will zoom into specifics as the months go by, refering to Jesus's teaching and how we can be like Christ.

5. Keeping in Touch with Dad & Mom
Although I've been keeping in touch with Dad and Mom and emails, but this year I'd like to establish a more consistent habit to call home - once every fornight! And of course also cont to provide for them (and Granny) with 2005 & 2006 resolutions.

6. Take Good Care Of My Own Health
Definitely something I have never done routinely and been out of touch with exercizing due to many legitimate reasons! - Beach jog once a week, every Sunday morning 6am - Take vitamin supplements everyday - tblast (before breakfast), omega-3 and vital nutrients (lunch and dinner) - Go to the dentist! OK - that's enough! Too much to handle! ;)

7. Books That I Want To Finish Reading This Year
This is going to be ambitious, considering I am not a book lover at all! Nevertheless, these books are important for good spiritual growth, so I'll make it happen! - Created To Be His Help Meet, by Debbie Pearl - Purpose Driven Life, by Rick Warren - Your Best Life Now, by Joel Osteen

8. Lastly, Business and Work
When all the above is taken care of, then I'll work on the business/office-work which involves the following schedules a)CTCE - Mon through Fri 9am-4.30pm b) WebDesk - every Wed evening starting 6pm if can find time c) CyberWize - every Thurs evening starting 6pm if can find time and d) Others-Research - every Tues evening starting 6pm if can find time
