Learning To Love
Its been about 2 mths now, I didn't do the Sunday morning walk since but found many other ways to spend time with God on a daily basis. Perhaps this is indeed what it means by, the heart that counts not the religious routines! Having said that, I would like to caution believers not to take advantage of this wonderful faith-method God has made provision for us, by saying, its the heart that counts, not the works so we can be lazy and do it our way!
According to Dr. Adrian Rogers (Love Worth Finding),faith without legs is not faith! If we say we love God, we have to put in action - whatever that may be, they certainly require time and effort i.e. sacrificial love! I am planning to improvise my time management schedule to reflect this - more specifically my daily TO-DO calander and perhaps a timesheet submitted to Jesus! I know its not going to look that great at the beginning but I am positive that it will look better and better! Showing off by works? I don't think thats the issue at all - what if we say we love but we've got nothing to show? Someone once said, love is only love when it is given away. Such simple truth and yet we often like to intepret love our own way - accumulating it all our lives and for ourselves! So from now on, I will learn to give love to all those around me ... by sacrificing something of my own :) Life is good! Dear Lord, thank you for showing me the way to live a righteous life because you are a righteous God.
